Behind The Song
This song, though dark, is supposed to express hope. That no matter where you’re at in life, you can escape the things that pull you down. Finding the lies, addictions or toxic people in your life and leaving them behind for something far better. The truth. The Deep Sea represents something better something… Heavenly. At the time I was writing this song I was dealing with my own sin that I hated. I wished I could sail far away from it never to be seen again. Running to something better, which to me, is God.
